Emma Chamberlain Takes Us Through Her Daily Routine — See Video

Emma Chamberlain started her YouTube channel three years ago, when she was 15. Now, that channel has over eight million subscribers and she’s expanded to every social media platform. She also launched a podcast, and even created her own coffee company, Chamberlain Coffee. Anyone who achieves such a massive level of success must have some sort of fascinating daily routine — so we asked our June/July cover star to walk us through 24 hours of hers.

The stay-at-home orders currently in effect haven’t changed Chamberlain’s routine too much (she created most of her content inside her house even before the COVID-19 pandemic). She wakes up at the highest attainable at 10 a.m. And, like many of us, starts the day with a cup of coffee
— her own brand, of course. The rest of her morning is filled with recording her podcast, answering emails, taking Zoom makings, and playing Fortnite.

At 12:45 p.m., she starts her daily beauty routine. When it comes to her skin-care routine, she’s been using the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser followed by the Sonya Dakar facial oil, which she says keeps her skin hydrated for a long period of time even when she’s on Accutane, which has a known side-effect of causing dry skin. Chamberlain carries a full tube of Aquaphor with her to heal chapped lips and skin on the go. She also uses Lanolin Cream (which is a nipple cream) on her lips.

After her skin-care routine, Chamberlain heads back into bed to relax until she can think about what else she wants to do with her day. Two hours later, after waking up from a nap, she decides she’s going to film. She makes more coffee, followed by sitting down to do her makeup before filming — something she likes to get done in under 15 minutes. She starts off with the Kosas Tinted Face Oil, which is super lightweight on the skin. She blends it in with a Beautyblender. Next, she goes in with a Chanel concealer to cover blemishes and a Kosa’s concealer to brighten her under eyes. When she’s filming she is sure to always pack on the setting powder because, as she notes, it’s really easy to look shiny on camera. After she goes in with her Marc Jacobs bronzer and lightly dusts it around her face and onto her lids to give some definition. Chamberlain uses a Milani highlighter on her nose, Cupid’s bow, inner corner, and cheekbones.
